When she had an unpleasant experience with trying to sell, Damaris decided to get her real estate license. This became her first sale in the real estate, her commercial building.

She started with HUNT Real Estate ERA, a family owned business which provided her with great mentorship and training to grow as an agent. Damaris was awarded Hunt’s Most Improved Agent in 2017. 

In 2017, Damaris became a Real Property Appraiser with the City of Rochester. In this role, Damaris fine tuned her valuation skills and learned a new side of real estate. At that time she also transitioned to EXP Realty, a national agent owned cloud based brokerage. 

Damaris got the name “Rochesters Pet Friendly Realtor” as her passions collided. With her wealth of knowledge from the pet industry and savvy real estate experience, she is able to provide clients with unique pet related services. 

Outside of Real Estate, Damaris is a dog mom of three fur babies: Keys, Penny and Beastly. She has been an animal advocate for years and continues to raise funds for local rescue groups. She is also a recording artist and tours around the state with PopStyle.

In 2019, Damaris Rivera decided to open R Realty Rochester LLC. She wanted to create a company where individual agents can be successful and support each other. The R represents her last name, Rivera. Her personal goal was to create a legacy for her family that will affect generations to come.
