The Home & Wealth Development Project is a community-focused initiative led by First Genesis Development Corporation (FGDC) that helps families in Rochester move from renting to homeownership. The program provides affordable new homes, financial education, credit support, and step-by step guidance from application to closing.

Affordable homes are priced based on local income levels, not the full open market. This keeps the purchase cost aligned with what families in our community can realistically afford, allowing more households to step into homeownership and begin building long-term stability and wealth. For this project, the new construction homes will be priced between $148,000 and $170,000, making high-quality, energy-efficient housing accessible to first-time and income-qualified buyers.
